There are many different techniques for face resurfacing, and facial rejuvenation is one of the most popular methods. This technique works miracles on your face, providing quite noticeable change in a short period of time.
It’s considered to be one of the latest advances in personal microdermabrasion as far as the dermatology science concerned. You should consider it if you desperately need to quickly and
effectively rejuvenate your less than perfect skin. By definition resurfacing means removing the upper layer of the skin in an attempt to diminish or totally erase the signs of aging, and such skin flaws as discoloration, acne scarring, blotchiness, and wrinkles. Other processes commonly used to achieve the same are microdermabrasion, dermabrasion, certain laser treatments, and chemical peels.
Facial rejuvenation can be compared to dermabrasion, but this process is a bit lighter on the skin. Both techniques are used to revive your skin tone by removing the upper portion of the skin using an abrasive. As opposed to dermabrasion that uses speedy rotary machines, microdermabrasion relies on crystals to remove the dead skin. With this technique, dermatologists use a wand with diamond or sapphire head to sand the lifeless layer of your skin, revealing newer surface. Such devices actually use micro diamond or sapphire particles as an abrasive.
When performing facial rejuvenation, the tools will vibrate helping to sand away the dead skin. Normally, they can be adjusted for the desired level of penetration. Dermatologists often combine this technique with a LED light therapy. Here are the most common steps when rejuvenating your face:
-your skin will be first exfoliated with a diamond or sapphire tool;
-next, the exfoliation process will be repeated using some sort of a calming gel enriched with vitamins;
-for better circulation, your dermatologist will perform a lymphatic massage, which also will remove the toxins;
-Red LED therapy is then used to help firm your skin, which encourages collagen and elastin production. This is great for revving up your skin;
-the blue LED procedure that follows next helps remove any bacteria left, and this, in turn, increases the oxygen flow into your skin. The light therapy has been recently very successful in dealing with acne as it tends to calm your skin and bring about the healing process.
Facial rejuvenation is normally performed by experienced dermatologists in an office setting, and requires anywhere between six to ten sessions to achieve noticeable results.

Now, if you are like me and can’t afford so many sessions with a dermatologist, a great alternative would be to use at home microdermabrasion machine. There are a lot of them in the market, some better than others. Personally, I have been quite satisfied with the NEW SPA Diamond Microdermabrasion Machine that replaced my NuBrilliance machine when it lost suction.
I do not hesitate to recommend this device as it proved to be indispensable to me as well as to many other happy users. See all the reviews here.
