Microdermabrasion Products: Acne and Wrinkles
I have had pretty mild acne for almost all my life and have been contemplating getting microdermabrasion for some time until I finally did it last month with the help of microdermabrasion product called NuBrilliance. So far, I have done 4 times and I can say that it really helped my skin. Actually, I think it felt great! My face felt so clean and nice and supple that I could not even think of applying any lotion or cream to it, or putting makeup on it. I could tell that my red spots faded quite significantly after the 4th time.
So, does microdermabration work for acne? I can say that it worked pretty well for me, and it even helped me with very shallow scars. Definitely, my skin does not look dull any more, and I hope to erase some fine lines and age spots too with continuous use.
The way microdermabrasion work is by removing a very fine layers of skin every time you use it, which in turn stimulates collagen and elastin production, which in turn encourages cellular renewal. Your old skin is gradually replaced by new healthy skin cells. The way it works for the scars is that it strips a very fine layer of skin where the old scar cells are stuck, thus stimulating growth of new cells. Microdermabration creams work the same way for enlarged pores, blackheads or age spots.
But, does microdermabrasion work for wrinkles, particularly for those “crow-feet” wrinkles around my eyes? This I still have to find out. But I saw major improvements after my first 2 personal microdermabrasion series: the fine lines on my forehead and around my mouth had almost gone. I guess, expression wrinkles may keep on forming, but, in my opinion, microdermabration products can help keep my lines at bay.
Update:
I have written this article more than 2 years ago, and since then some things have changed. But not a lot. I am no longer using NuBrilliance as it died on me after 6 months of continuous use. As many people indicated, it’s a great product that shows results pretty quickly, but it’s problem back then was a quick loss of suction, often after only 2 months of operation or even less. It didn’t happen to me that fast, but it did. By that time I was already addicted to using my microdermabrasion machine, and it did feel like a disaster. I knew I needed to buy another one, so the question for me was which one but not if I should.
I have researched numerous options, and finally stopped on this one here. The New Spa Diamond Microdermabrasion Machine had nothing but positive response from many users. After some hesitation I bought it and never looked backed. It’s been with me for more than 18 months now, and so far I have absolutely no complaints. It does everything NuBrilliance did and more. It’s simple to use, comes with different sizes of diamond heads, very compact, and never loses suction. If you are looking for a durable at home microdermabrasion machine that would last longer and provide professional quality microdermabrasion in the convenience of your home than this is the product to go for. Be aware though, that this product is designed for professional salons but I have had no difficulty using it at home, and so did many other people. Read all reviews here.
It also has a portable version that has also received rave reviews from users.
