How long after my stretch marks fade should I consider tanning?

I have stretch marks all over my body from when I lost and gained weight after a broken jaw injury.
Its been over a year since I had got them and they are starting to fade.
I am fair complected and want to get some color on my skin.
I heard to never tan when you have fresh stretch marks, as they will show even worse.

Should I wait until they almost fade completely or will tanning still worsen them even after they have?
Thanks.

It could take years. Stretch marks are dead and no cream will regenerate them. Stretched and broken skin cells are stuck in the first layer of the skin and show up as stripes. Only thing you can do is scrub those dead cells off through skin abrasion. It’s really expensive to these treatments professionally but I found way to do it at home cheaply by using what I already have and same hard abrasive crystals pros would use.

I used regular Cetaphil body lotion to mix with medical crystals, then I scrubbed stretch marks in the shower with this paste.I felt the difference under fingers 1st time I scrubbed my belly but now after 1 month they are almost invisible. Just google medical crystals to see for yourself.
